Nonprofits and the 2010 Census

On April 1, 2010, the U.S. Census Bureau will conduct a count of every person living in the United States, regardless of age or immigration status. The Census is conducted every ten years and participation is required by law. Click here for more information.

Why Nonprofits?

Communities are better understood and better served by nonprofits, public services, and businesses for every person that is counted. Nonprofits already serve many of these populations and are uniquely positioned to be trusted messengers for the 2010 Census. Voter Engagement

The Colorado Nonprofit Association and the Nonprofit Voter Engagement Nework are partners in a nonpartisan, nonprofit initiative dedicated to expanding the role of Colorado's nonprofit organizations in engaging, educating and mobilizing their staff, volunteers, but most importantly, those they serve to participate in the democratic process.
