<p>Launched in 2009, Hunger Free Colorado (HFC) has emerged as the leading statewide anti-hunger organization. HFC works to provide systems change from the federal to the local level by using the tools of policy, coalition building, collaborative programming, targeted awareness and process measurements to create innovative solutions to Colorado’s hunger challenges.</p>
<p><strong>Job Summary </strong></p>
<p>The Director of Communications is responsible for overseeing communications and public relations activity for the organization, growing the HFC brand, engaging in social marketing, and overseeing development activities. The primary goals of the Director of Communications are to increase public awareness of the issue of hunger and to create an environment in which fundraising can occur. The Director of Communications will supervise four staff members and external contractors focused on fundraising and special events. The individual is expected to build positive relationships with the media, contractors, and corporations.</p>
<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities </strong></p>
<p>Ø Lead the planning, implementation, and management of marketing communications programs, including but not limited to: marketing collateral, direct marketing, multimedia, advertising, etc. Establish ROI and metrics for these programs.</p>

Works closely with volunteers, program staff, interns, and community contacts. Responsible for designing and implementing activities for children, and ensuring adequate child care activity coverage. Maintains a safe, creative and joyful environment in the Children’s Program area.</p>

<p>· Bi-lingual skills required.</p>
<p>· Masters or Doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, or clinical social work (licensed needed).</p>
<p>· A minimum of 2 years of clinical paid work experience.</p>
<p>· Strong therapeutic skills including individual and group counseling.</p>
<p>· Possess an understanding of Issues related to sexual assault and trauma.</p>
<p>· Experience providing appropriate therapeutic intervention for trauma victims.</p>
<p>· Strong knowledge of ethical and legal responsibilities of the mental health profession.</p>
<p>· Proficient in therapeutic documentation.</p>
<p>· Presentation &#38; training skills helpful.</p>

<li>Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.</li>

<li>Starting wage: $13.00/hr + medical insurance (Average 38 hours/week).</li>

<p>The educational counselor works under direct supervision of the Senior Counselor to analyze, implement and develop goals for students of Denver Kids, Inc. to achieve graduation and move forward to future options that will support students becoming committed and contributing members of society. Educational Counselors provide framework and interventions for students to have a safe, productive and successful educational experience.</p>
<p><strong>Case Management and Mentor Support</strong></p>

<li>Provide educational support and guidance to an assigned caseload of Denver Public School students.</li>
</ul>

<li>Maintains 55 students for a full-time caseload</li>
<li>Sees students minimum two face to face contact per month</li>
<li>Provides needed guidance and support based on students’ educational and social/emotional needs</li>

<li>Confer with parents, school personnel and community agencies; works with school personnel to help in the school adjustment of the student to meet the students’ needs.</li>

<li>Offers to accompany parents to parent/teacher conferences.</li>
