Arapahoe House is currently seeking Primary Therapists to join our Outpatient Services team. Multiple positions available on various shifts within one of our five Outpatient Clinics located in the Metro Denver area. See our website at www.arapahoehouse.org/about/careers for detailed descriptions of all opportunities and to apply online. Provide drug and alcohol counseling to clients in an Outpatient setting. Part-time, Full-time and On-Call positions are available. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling or social work), Certified Addiction Counselor II (CAC II), and eighteen months of documented work experience in behavioral health. - Knowledge of DUI or Criminal justice is recommended. - Must be sensitive to the diverse cultural and situational needs of the clients in the program. Certificates and Licenses: - Certified Addiction Counselor II (CAC II) or equivalent combination of education and experience to a CAC II. - Current registration in the State of Colorado DORA database as one of the following approved Addiction Counselor designations: Unlicensed Psychotherapist, Certified Addiction Counselor, or mental health licensure (LAC, LPC, LMFT, LSW or LCSW) is required. - CPR/First Aid Certification (must obtain within three months of hire). Computer Skills: - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. - Familiarity with Electronic Health Records is preferred.
