Denver Children’s Home (DCH), a non-profit treatment facility, is seeking a qualified Residential Youth Treatment Counselor. DCH is a community environment; therefore the applicant must be a strong team player. The Residential Youth Treatment Counselor is responsible for assisting in the coordination of residential services and providing professional treatment and care to residents. The position provides Trauma Informed quality youth care, a safe environment, and close intensive supervision of adolescent clients in a residential treatment setting. In addition, this position is responsible for providing a range of counseling and skills training to clients and at times, their families, as well as tracking and reporting on resident’s treatment progress. Requirements: A degree in a Human Services field or one year of verifiable experience working with at risk or high risk youth, ability to pass background check and clearance on the Central Registry, a valid Colorado driver’s license, a good driving record that qualifies for DCH insurance coverage, must pass the DCH driver certification training, ability to obtain QMAP certification, TCI certification and CPR/1st Aid. EOE. This shift may include Daytime, Evenings and Weekends.
