Foothills Animal Shelter (FAS), an intergovernmental organization providing animal shelter and rescue services to the Jefferson County community, is seeking a part-time Finance Manager to manage and oversee the Finance Department. The Finance Manager will report directly to the Executive Director.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for supervision and management of the Finance Department’s daily accounting operations, overseeing all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bi-weekly payroll, monitoring cash balances, managing cash flow, and preparation and analyzing of all financial reporting.
The Finance Manager will act as liaison with outside CPA to the Shelter’s 501c3, Friends of FAS. He/she will attend monthly Board of Directors meetings and be responsible for preparing, analyzing and speaking to the data presented. Responsible for monthly budget reporting, departmental and general.
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred plus three years’ experience at the Finance Manager level is required. Candidate must have an understanding of non-profit accounting processes and best practices, possess a high level of experience with Office 365 and Microsoft Office, be proficient-to-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and have working knowledge of computerized information and finance software systems (QuickBooks and Paychex experience preferred).
Must be able to work independently with minimal instruction, prioritize, and be organized; able to get along with a wide variety of people and personalities in a teamwork environment, all while maintaining a pleasant demeanor and a good sense of humor. Must be deadline-oriented.

Status: Part-Time (25 hours per week; four days on-site); FLSA Exempt
