Job Purpose and Context
This position is responsible for coordinating the grant: Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) Building Sustainability Pathways Project.
Through re-granting opportunities, this position will help enhance the capacity of TCUs to increase qualifications of faculty, support students through fellowships and internships, and support culturally informed sustainability at Tribal colleges.
Develop the re-granting application, requirements, and evaluation plan within the first month of the grant period
- Increase TCUs’ knowledge about the College Fund’s re-granting opportunities
- Ensure timely solicitation of project applications for implementation
- Provide technical support to TCUs to establish and manage student fellowship and internship opportunities that build applied research skills
- Provide TCU faculty with fellowship opportunities to earn advanced degrees in environmental sciences and sustainability fields of study.
Plan and coordinate annual retreat and convening events
Create concept papers and grant proposals informed by sustainability and environmental, best practices program models at TCUs
Conduct research/evaluation for the project informed by Indigenous Research Methodologies
Participate with ORSP team to conduct research/evaluation and to write concept papers and grant proposals
Participate in TCU site visits for sponsored programs and research purposes and to selected conferences
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years’ experience performing program administration as the project lead
Research/evaluation experience; writing reports and grant applications/proposals
Experience working directly with culturally diverse groups of people, Native American experience preferred
Experience working in higher education in areas of environmental sciences/sustainability studies and fields
