Principles and Practices 101

9:00-11:00 A.M.

The Colorado Nonprofit Association has developed Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in Colorado, a guidebook identifying best practices to help nonprofits complete all aspects of their work most effectively. The guidebook identifies nine principles and 120 practices.

Principles and Practices 101 highlights the legal requirements and most important practices for nonprofits to consider for implementation. This is a training you will not want to miss!

Strengthening Philanthropy:

tips, tools, and strategies to build your individual donor base

11:30 A.M.-1:30 P.M.

The workshop will lead people through five platforms of individual giving programs: identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and ethics. Within that framework, we will highlight best practices for prospect research, communications, campaigns, planned giving, record-keeping and reporting.

This session will provide participants with information and implementation strategies- including an opportunity to script direct solicitations. Each recipient will receive a training guide with details beyond the formal presentation, samples and resources to continue work in this area.
