The Policy Intern will support NCL operations by conducting research, producing written materials, providing assistance at meetings and conferences, contacting other organizations, helping with administrative tasks and related activities. The intern will assist all three NCL program directors, our journal editor, President, and Office Manager. Some of the activities to be supported include our annual All-America City Awards program, National Civic Review journal, monthly e-newsletter, website and social media postings.

This is a four-month position starting in mid-January, 2017. The position pays $10.00/hour. The position is part-time, temporary, non-exempt, at-will, with no employee benefits. The successful candidate in this position will: be willing to submit to and able to successfully pass a criminal background check; possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license and be able to travel as needed in the Denver Metro Area, with potential travel outside the state.

Skills and Qualifications:

At least two years of a four-year degree program completed, preferably in a field related to public policy; good writing, verbal skills, and social media skills.
