Job Description: 

Denver CASA is looking for a passionate individual interested in bringing their relationship building, networking, and marketing know how to bear to grow our most valuable resources: people and funding. This mission-critical role serves as the key steward for a portfolio of current and prospective corporate and community connections that will hit both volunteer and revenue goals.

The Corporate and Community Engagement Manager will establish new business and community relationships by being outwardly focused and “boots on the ground” through networking, prospecting, and community presence ensuring that Denver CASA has a strong pipeline of corporate and community partners and volunteers. The Manager will meet specific revenue, recruitment, cultivation, and stewardship goals that includes corporate development, volunteer recruitment, and marketing and communications strategies. This individual will also generate new leads and create an active portfolio of corporate prospects targeting, soliciting, and stewarding sponsorship support. The Corporate and Community Engagement Manager will participate in creating a seamless and effective marketing and communications strategy for recruitment of volunteers as well as general awareness for Denver CASA. Lastly, this individual will be a positive ambassador for Denver CASA and its mission at all times.

Areas of Responsibility

Corporate Targeting/Soliciting/Stewarding

  • Work with the Director of Development to design and implement effective stewardship and solicitation plans for corporate donor prospects, utilizing approved moves management practices.
  • Keep a pulse on and be responsive to current trends in Corporate Social Responsibility to ensure successful relationships with corporate partners.
  • Plan and implement donor related programs, communications, activities, and events to identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate partnerships.
  • Build new corporate partnerships to include, all the ways a company can support the organization: Executive leaders, employee giving, volunteerism, event sponsorships, pay for play activities, and foundation funding (if applicable).
  • Work with the Annual Giving & Events Manager to solicit corporate sponsors for Denver CASA fundraising events, ensure benefits are delivered, and follow up reports on ROI are delivered.
  • Meet annual goals for corporate cultivation, revenue, and stewardship in alignment with the development goals of Denver CASA.

Volunteer Recruitment

  • Identify the most effective methods of volunteer recruitment and create and implement an annual volunteer recruitment plan that will lead to ongoing corporate and community engagement and achieve all volunteer goals.
  • Work with the Director of Development to create collateral materials, presentations, and other tools to support recruitment efforts.
  • Identify media opportunities for volunteer recruitment.
  • Identify and attend community and networking events to represent the mission of Denver CASA and recruit potential volunteers.
  • Promote the mission of Denver CASA through one on one and group informational sessions and presentations.
  • Work with the Director of Development to recruit corporate executives and community leaders as potential Committee and Board members.
  • Monitor and respond to all volunteer inquiries, including those secured through outreach efforts, fundraising events and on-line form within 24 hours.
  • Work with the Director of Development to identify and develop relationships with volunteers who might also become donors, or introduce us to communities, companies, and other organizations for additional support.
  • Lead the Ambassador Committee and build a network of volunteers recruiting fellow volunteers.

 

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Minimum of three to five years successful experience in nonprofit fundraising and volunteer recruitment with a proven track record of cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding corporate and community partnerships.
  • A strong instinct for and willingness to pursue leads and follow through on prospects.
  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Communications, and/or experience in Nonprofit Management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, advance, and sustain positive relationships with diverse populations.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Adobe Cloud, eTapestry, and MailChimp.
  • Comfort with managing and utilizing a CRM system
  • Ability to prioritize and balance workload
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Evening and weekend hours required
