Kavod Senior Life provides Senior Living and Assisted Living apartment homes for adults 62 years of age and older (and people with qualifying mobility impairment disabilities). Our residences and main office are in the beautiful Cherry Creek neighborhood, convenient to the Cherry Creek Mall, restaurants,movie theater, shops, tennis courts and walking paths. Our residents and our community are of paramount importance. We offer amazing amenities to help each individual remain vibrant, independent and healthy.

We are currently seeking an attentive, responsible, service-minded pair to join our operations team as Night Managers of the property. This is a unique opportunity to live in Cherry Creek, rent free, and contribute to the health and well-being of Kavod's residents. Living on-site is a requirement of the position, as is having two applicants to share the responsiblities during your on-duty weeks. Our two sets of Night Managers work a one-week-on and one-week-off schedule throughout the year. Compensation includes base hourly rate, rent, two parking spaces, utilities, basic cable and internet.

Summary:

The Night Managers live on-site and are on-call to oversee the entire Kavod Senior Life complex, providing emergency coverage for the residents and the monitoring of the buildings during nights, weekends, and holidays when the offices are closed. They represent the agency to the community in their duties and are our ambassadors of good will.

 

Areas of Responsibility

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
On duty per the assigned part-time schedule between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and from 5:30 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Monday, as well as other holiday days when the offices are closed. During this time, the Night Managers oversee the complex. Kavod has two sets of Night Managers, and they alternate their schedules, a one week on and one week off schedule. 

Monitor telephone calls, manage resident emergencies and respond to building alarms timely and in a fashion that is appropriate for the issue at hand. Requires independent judgement, attention to detail and regular, clear and concise documentation of incidents.

Check the building and grounds at least two times each weekday evening and four times each day/evening of the weekend. Take action as needed – pick up trash, clean up spills and tidy common areas. Document concerns or problems.

As-needed snow removal from main entrances/exits, public walkways and sidewalks for each building.
Change out garbage dumpsters in all three buildings on Sundays and Holidays by 9:00 a.m.

 

 

Requirements/Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training in apartment management, emergency response and/or working with seniors. Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be consistent and reliable.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, exercise good judgement and communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to use discretion, observe confidentiality, problem solve and represent the organization positively in all dealings.
  • Must be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
Compensation/Benefits

758.15/biweekly plus rent, two parking spaces, utilities, basic cable and internet.
