As an operations support team member you will contribute to processing and delivering of company incoming and outgoing mail in accordance with established guidelines. Team members perform and rotate duties required for completing daily mail operations.  Additional duties such as batching and scanning documents, routine data entry and completing publication requests are also a part of this role.

    Areas of Responsibility


    • Process incoming and outgoing mail including opening, sorting, date stamping, reviewing and preparing documents for imaging and batching
    • Process and may deliver UPS and FedEx packages
    • Process and log certified and overnight mail
    • Review, research and code incoming documents/faxes in order to prepare for batching
    • Batch document types in preparation for scanning
    • Scan batched documents and review for quality to identify acceptable and unacceptable images
    • Index, verify and release documents into PERA Docs for retrieval
    • Box and label original documents for confidential destruction
    • Monitor form and publication inventory and order new stock as needed
    • Review and process member documents through a work queue
    • Initiate written communication with members, retirees, employer affiliates, or financial institutions for clarification of submitted documents when needed
    • Cross-train in several functional areas to provide backup as needed
    • Participate in training and educational opportunities for ongoing professional development
    • Maintain regular and prompt attendance in the workplace
    • Carries out other duties as assigned


    • High school diploma or education equivalent, one year general office experience preferred
    • Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office suite
    • Detail oriented with effective organization and time management skills
    • Knowledge of proper English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
    • Aptitude for consistent routine and repetitive tasks
    • Ability to comprehend established guidelines and confidence to take initiative in a team-focused environment
    • Ability to process multiple detailed workloads

    • Sitting or standing for long periods of time
