Clinical
Provides crisis intervention, screening and assessment services to victims of domestic violence, completes intake with victims coming in for residential services.
Provides advocacy services as needed; may act as a liaison between local agencies and clients on an emergency basis; computes child abuse reports when necessary according to mandatory law.
Provides exiting services to clients as needed.
Maintain complete client files, including standard forms and progress notes, records all clients’ contacts, prepares statistical tallies on a monthly basis. Maintains confidentiality within the team and within the limits as perceived by law.
Resolves issues among clients utilizing mediation skills.
Responsible for proper safety precautions and security procedures throughout the shift, including functioning of the shelter alarm systems.
Ability to answer the 24-hour crisis line and handlle immediate crisis situations.
Trauma-informed trained
Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of population served.
Community Work
Develops awareness of community resources available for referral purposes.
May do speaking engagements as needed and work schedule permits.
Participants in the agency activities and special events as needed.
Strong knowledge of local housing resources
