This administrative position works and completes a variety of assignments that support day-to-day Benefit Services Division's areas such as benefits processing, payroll, employer relations, and active member services.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to data entry, verifying and compiling information, record keeping, and benefit processing to support the assigned area.


Our ideal candidate is a team player who is detail oriented and highly dependable. We are looking for someone with excellent time-management skills, can remain focused while managing multiple priorities and/or interruptions, and has the ability to process work through a work queue on a daily basis.

Areas of Responsibility


  • Responsible for data entry input, information retrieval, written correspondence and mailings
  • Researches and compiles account information, reports, files, and benefit applications
  • Review work queues and process items that require additional research through completion
  • Interacts with visitors at front desk, responds to questions, and/or refers questions or issues to appropriate staff or department
  • Coordinates meeting schedules and conference rooms, as well as arrangements for travel and special projects and/or events.
  • Reviews submitted forms, applications and benefits paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Serves as a liaison for internal/external contacts as directed by the supervisor
  • Prepares, reports, and presents information in a meaningful and logical manner
  • Communicates with parties submitting documentation when clarification or follow-up is necessary
  • Applies a general knowledge of principles, procedures and practices related to the assigned area
  • Understands and documents established standard operating procedures
  • Collaborates with division staff to support complex projects
  • Establishes and maintains files, publications, reports, and imaged documents pursuant to records retention policy
  • Orders office supplies and maintains office equipment
  • Provides backup administrative support for other areas as needed
  • Prepares expense reports for division Director's review and approval
  • Participates in training and educational opportunities for ongoing professional development
  • Maintains regular and prompt attendance in the workplace
  • Must be available during regular Colorado PERA business hours
  • Carries out other duties as assigned
  • QUALIFICATIONS A combination of education and experience equivalent to 1-2 years of administrative, benefits, financial, customer service, and/or office experience Experience in the financial services industry is preferred but not required.


Minimum $20.81 per hour, commensurate with experience - Hourly
