More than 65 million pounds of food flow through our operation every year, feeding hungry families in our surrounding communities. Our small and mighty team of 100+ employees across four locations, collectively serves 30 counties in Colorado and the entire state of Wyoming. We provide more than 145,000 meals each day to our friends and neighbors facing hunger.

The Warehouse Worker/Driver is responsible for the day to day operation of the warehouse: sorting inventory, restocking the picking area, rotating product, assisting agencies with ordering process, loading orders into agency vehicles, and supervising volunteer staff working in the warehouse. Additionally loads and unloads trucks. When other drivers are not available, responsible for pickup and delivery of food product, supplies and materials to various sites. This role regularly interacts with volunteers, partner agencies and the general public.

Areas of Responsibility

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensures orders are filled accurately and timely.
  • Assists agencies onsite with all aspects of the order process.
  • Oversees the receiving and distribution of non-marketable and surplus food in a convenient, timely, courteous and professional manner.
  • Supervises warehouse volunteer staff making sure they observe safety and operational guidelines.
  • Assists with warehouse duties; record keeping, waste, inventory counts and sanitation, equipment, building and grounds.
  • Assist with all necessary record keeping of inventory, surplus, and waste; as well as assisting with inventory physical counts.
  • Unloads and loads food at the respective location working closely with the FBR team, partner agencies and/or volunteers.
  • Responsible for maintaining driver logs on Fleetmatics, vehicle inspection and other maintenance schedules according to DOT regulations.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and sanitized cab, cargo area and food handling equipment.
  • Maintains receipts, invoices and other required paperwork for each site.
  • Maintains food industry standards and certification for proper product handling, storage, and warehouse sanitation.
  • Other duties as assigned or delegated

  • Ability to effectively communicate with, influence and get work done through others
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record
  • Prior experience working in a warehouse environment strongly preferred
  • Forklift experience and certification a plus
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level; bilingual a plus
