After completing her undergrad at SUNY Oswego, she started as an Animal Care intern at the Sanctuary, but quickly gained traction at the organization with her tenacity and drive to help their mission. Heather’s days are full of fundraising, planning Sanctuary events, writing grants, giving virtual presentations, and being an advocate for the animals. There is never a dull moment, with over 600 rescued large carnivores to garner donations for!
In her free time, Heather enjoys conquering 14ers, snowshoeing, paddle boarding, and has recently taken up landscape photography. While she loves the outdoors and all Colorado has to offer, she is still a Jersey girl at heart and cooks Italian feasts on Sundays.
