Isabel Mendoza
Isabel grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of tropics in her native Ecuador. It was inevitable she decided to become a biologist very early in life. As the realization of that dream, Isabel holds a bachelor‘s degree in ecology and evolutionary biology from University of Colorado Boulder and a master’s in environmental science and policy from Johns Hopkins University. The combination of field work, GIS and her experience growing up in areas with high poverty allows her to understand the nuances of complex environmental issues and to find creative ways to solve them.
