As the CEO of Colorado Nonprofit Association for almost 12 years, I have had the honor of working with and supporting nonprofits all across Colorado who are essential to vibrant communities. My public service career started 35 years ago when I was first elected to the legislature. It has been a great journey with so many wonderful people who made a difference in their communities and in my life.
I now want to take time to create fresh adventures and new ways to give back in the next stage of my journey. I will retire from the Association on February 2021, but I am not retiring from my life’s devotion to making Colorado a better place to live.
I am excited to take the next steps of my journey and for the Association’s future too. We have a strong and special team. 2020 has been a year like no other and our team has done amazing work. We listened, brought together voices of experience, shared promising practices, advocated for the nonprofit community and spoke out for equity. Amidst the many changes and challenges we have all experienced, our dedicated team led the sector in innovative and responsive ways. Our efforts will not stop.
Thank you for being a part of my journey and for your support of the Association.
