Senior Development Officer for Major Gifts

Responsible for oversight of a comprehensive development strategy to identify, cultivate and solicit gifts of $10,000 and higher from prospective major donors, with a focus on individual and family giving. Reports directly to the Chief Development Officer and will be an integral member of the Development Team and work with the Executive Team and the Board of Directors in forwarding the mission of the organization. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, development, communications, nonprofit management, or closely related field with Masters Degree preferred. Professional education in financial services or other related profession helpful. Individual must have high ethical standards. Minimum five years of direct development professional experience in an organization with a successful major gifts/planned giving program. Knowledge of the community is important; must have professional experience in working with Board members. Verifiable, well-developed organizational skills, uncompromising standards for quality and attention to detail, and able to manage multiple and varied projects. Capital campaign experience preferred.
