Summary of Position:This position is responsible for management of the organization’s fundraising and contact database, as well as providing support to the development team (individual giving, foundation partnerships, and corporate partnerships) and communications. In addition, this position will provide organizational and budget management support for conferences, maintain the granting restrictions spreadsheet, and be directly involved in our direct mail campaigns.
Manages Raiser’s Edge database, including gift entry, revenue tracking, gift acknowledgements, and reconciliation with Financial Edge on a monthly basis.
Pulls reports and lists for the development team, as needed, for example: mailing lists, moves management actions, financial reports, etc.
Excellent problem solver who regularly enhances Raiser’s Edge knowledge to increase the effectiveness of database for fundraising and communications efforts.
Supports communications team by updating GGF website/blog and social media, as well as external online profiles, distribute e-newsletter and other electronic outreach to donors and prospects via Engaging Networks platform.
Manage complex mail merges related to direct mail appeals.
Assists with proposals and reports to individual and foundation donors.
Conducts research on individual, foundation, and corporate donors and prospects.
Coordinates logistics for domestic and international events.
Provides administrative support to the development and communications team for example, distributing mail, monitoring general email addresses, assisting with expense reports, answering phones, etc.
Maintains an understanding of all Greengrants fundraising strategies and efforts to steward/renew/upgrade existing donors and cultivate new prospects.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous work experience and satisfaction working in an administration/database role.
Previous experience with Raiser’s Edge (highly preferred) or equivalent CRM database required.
Membership or annual fund experience highly desirable.
Well organized, and detail oriented with outstanding project and time management skills.
Excellent communication and people skills in person, over the phone and via email.
Strong writing, proofing and editing skills.
Able to work as a part of a team.
