One of the nation’s largest and most cutting-edge public media companies is seeking a database savvy, driven professional who is interested in learning and working in multiple facets of our high-performing Development team. The ideal candidate for the position of Development Associate has a passion for the nonprofit/public media sector and a desire to be an extraordinary fundraiser through a mastery of the basics, such as database management, fundraising technique execution, and performance measurement. Historically, talented and hard-working Development Associates have been promoted up through the ranks by using this position as a springboard for growth and advancement. Some database experience a must. Spanish language skills are a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in fundraising/sales, business or a related field preferred. Excellent oral and written English communication skills required. Strong computer skills in all Microsoft Office applications a must. Strong data management skills and great attention to detail is required. Strong customer service focus needed. Spanish language skills a plus
TYPICAL DUTIES: Assists with database management and maintenance in roundCause and Memsys (with training provided). Coordinates combined giving campaigns. Assists with data integration between RMPBS and its portfolio of brands. Assists staff with training and other needs. Assists with the development and tracking of a Membership Early Warning System and other performance measurement tools. Answers Member Services inquiries when needed. Cross-trains on multiple Development positions and across other departments depending on interests and talents.
