This guidebook was developed by Colorado nonprofits for Colorado nonprofits. It provides resources to help you keep up-to-date on legal compliance, prepare to complete the Form 990, build capacity, and demonstrate transparency and accountability.

The Colorado Nonprofit Association developed the inaugural edition of Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence in Colorado (P&P) for release in 2007. The original guide detailed nine principles and 120 practices to help Colorado nonprofits assess and strengthen their work.
